Balancing
CME's Advanced Dynamic Balancing Services to Eliminate Vibration
Balancing is a crucial maintenance function that helps to ensure the rotating equipment is operating smoothly, efficiently, and safely. In-situ balancing is the measurement of vibration and the detection of imbalance, and a correction can be made, either adding or removing the weights on the rotating equipment to achieve balance. This technique will improve the condition of equipment in use, minimize vibration and wear and tear, improve performance, and also extend the life of the rotating machine.
At CME, we use advanced vibration analysis that measures the imbalance of the machine at the operating location. CME provides professional dynamic balancing services in many industries, including Manufacturing, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Mining, Water Treatment (WWTP), and HVAC systems. We work with advanced vibration diagnostic instrumentation and skilled techniques to restore machines to their best physical condition and assure their reliability and safety.
Why is Balancing Important?
Imbalance is one of the leading causes of equipment failure. We help you with:
Increase Equipment Life
Reduce wear and stress on bearings, shafts and seals.
Perform corrections on your equipment without dismantling it
Reduce Downtime
Increase Safety
Avoid catastrophic failures resulting from too much vibration.
Allow machinery to run optimally with lower energy losses.
Maximize Performance
What is Balancing?
Balancing is defined as the method of adjusting the mass of a rotating component, such as a fan, motor, pump, turbine, blower, or generator, so that it is evenly distributed around its axis of rotation. An unbalanced rotor generates excessive vibration and noise, which leads to premature wear and costly repairs. Proper balancing eliminates these forces by redistributing weight, allowing the machine to run smoothly, efficiently, and safely.
This Process includes:
- Measuring vibrations with high-precision sensors.
- Identification of the source and magnitude of the imbalance.
- Correct the imbalance by adding or removing weights to or from the rotor.
- Verify the newly achieved vibration levels meet international standards.
