Mining Oil Analysis Services

Protect Your Equipment.
Prevent Failures. Power Productivity.
CME's (Condition Monitoring Experts) mining oil analysis program is based on sampling and testing of lubricants used in heavy-duty mining equipment. In this process, samples are regularly tested in the lab to assess oil and fluid condition, detect contamination and wear particles, and provide insights into both lubricant health and the machinery’s internal components. This information helps you to prevent costly failures, increase useful life, and optimize equipment uptime.
Why Oil Analysis is Important in the Mining Industry?
Mining and earth-moving equipment are subjected to extreme loads, harsh environmental conditions, and long duty cycles. Without monitoring, lubricant may degrade, contaminants may accumulate, and critical components may fail early.

Routine oil analysis will help you:
- Detect contaminants and wear particles early
- Reduce downtime and increase operational efficiency
- Extend equipment life by identifying maintenance needs
- Smarter service intervals through oil insights
- Reduce expenses and downtime, avoid breakdowns
Viscosity (40 °C / 100 °C)
Detects oil thickening/thinning from wear, contamination, or degradation.
Particle Count / PQ Index
Evaluates particulate contamination and overall wear severity.
Water, Fuel & Glycol Contamination
Identifies coolant leaks, fuel dilution, and moisture.
Oxidation / Nitration / Sulfation (FTIR)
Tracks oil degradation and combustion by-products.
Wear Metals & Additive Depletion (ICP/OES)
Measures wear severity and additive health.
Particle Count / PQ Index
Evaluates particulate contamination and overall wear severity.
Advanced Mining Oil Analysis
At CME Labs, oil analysis goes far beyond routine checks. We elevate diagnostics to the next level with advanced Ferrography and comprehensive oil analysis, delivering critical insights that enable early wear detection, failure prevention, and the assured performance and longevity of mining equipment.
CME provides Representative Sampling Kits with pre-labeled bottles to ensure accurate field sampling, as well as CME Online Software so users can track oil trends over time, compare the results to OEM limits. The program provides Actionable Reporting so that the oil results are linked right to recommendations like inspections, oil changes, or major overhauls.
